Our own Jenni Silvennoinen was chosen to represent Finland as the 2 millionth Erasmus Student

Metropolia’s European Management education programme student Jenni Silvennoinen was chosen as the Erasmus student to represent Finland at the European Union Commission Erasmus exchange students’ conference in Lund, Sweden. Jenni was on exchange in Germany for over a year and worked in a German company, Imprima Deutschland. Both her school and employer highlighted Jenni as a remarkable student and worker.

So far there have been two million students at Erasmus study or training exchange. The two million milestone was celebrated in Erasmus conference at Lund, 5th-6th of October with students who had succeeded in being chosen for the EU commissions competition. There were 96 applications from 31 different countries in the competition and Jenni Silvennoinen was chosen to represent Finland from those.

Since it is impossible to say who exactly the 2 millionth Erasmus student was, every country participating in the programme had nominated one student who has just been abroad with Erasmus.

Jenni Silvennoinen was chosen the 2 000 000th Erasmus student (Finland) because she was such an excellent trainee that the company would like to have her again in the future.
