Business Idea Competition Final this Thursday & New Entrepreneurship Course

This Thursday you have a unique opportunity to come to meet experienced entrepreneurs.

MetropoliaES is holding the final of their idea competition with the seven finalists pitching their business ideas to the judges behind closed doors from 16:00 until 17:40.

After the judges have decided the winner there will be a prize giving ceremony where Mohamed El-Fatatry (Founder of Muxlim) and Jukka Hassinen (Founder of Brain Alliance) are also going to have a chat about entrepreneurship. Join us to hear about their experiences and to find out who won the competition!

NEW Entrepreneurship Course

Metropolia Myyrmäki lectures are in the process of launching a year long entrepreneurship course starting in the autumn 2011. This course is designed for entrepreneurial students who have an idea for starting a business or would like to be involved in starting a business. The plan is to guide students through the process of taking an idea from the concept stage through to launch stage with input from lectures, guest entrepreneurs and organisations that assist entrepreneurs.

Students will have the opportunity to pay a small fee and receive an official company status with bank account and vat number. The course is carried out in co-operation with Junior Achievement Young Enterprise.

It is not necessary that students are part of a group of students looking to start a business as there is the possibility to meet like minded students that you can join with to form a business. The course is open to all students studying in Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. While many of the lectures are carried out in English students will have the possibility to complete tasks in Finnish if necessary.
