Randi Zuckerberg – her coming speech at Nordic Business Forum Helsinki 2019 is going to be super-interesting for students: “Dot Complicated: What I Learned on the Front Lines of Social Media”

by Noora Saeed

This year in Nordic Business Forum Helsinki-2019, Randi Zuckerberg is giving a speech “Dot Complicated: What I Learned on the Front Lines of Social Media”. The DOT is also the name of her business talk radio show as well as one of her bestselling books (NBF 2019).

Randi Zuckerberg is woman of many skills and talents: a Harvard graduate, entrepreneur, investor, bestselling author as well as a tech media personality (NBF 2019). However, that is not all what she is. After resigning from Facebook, Zuckerberg became the CEO of her new production company, Zuckerberg Media (Archive.today 2013). On top of all this, she is a wife and mother of two boys, constantly developing new content and technology to people. Also, as she says herself, one of her many passions is to have more successful, hardworking women entrepreneurs and girls presented in the media (NBF 2019).

Importantly, Randi Zuckerberg has been a vocal advocate for innovative young people and has talked a lot about the impacts of the technological inventions and social media. “We are putting so much pressure on young people to create multi-billion dollar companies that of course, how could they have time to think about the future implications of what they’re building.” ( Yurieff, K. 2019 ) She also has a children’s TV show about a girl called Dot who is exceptional at using technology and a pop-up experience for children, Sue’s Tech Kitchen ( Yurieff, K. 2019 ).

In short, it is much harder to think what she doesn’t do and it’ll be extremely interesting to see her speech at this year’s Nordic Business Forum Helsinki 2019 (Archive.today 2013).

Although it is more likely that you are familiar with her brother Mark Zuckerberg, the man who created the social media and social networking site, Facebook. Randi Zuckerberg is a name that you should definitely get familiar with.
