Hello, my name is Erina Disha. I am a first-year EBA student, and I come from Greece with origins from Albania.
I am the first generation from my mother’s family to be attending university, which motivated me to become a successful businessperson. I went through a long process of finding a university that would make my dream come true. I found everything I was looking for at Metropolia Business School: teamwork, contemporary learning facilities, great lecturers, a warm atmosphere, and a class that I really admire.
Working remotely has been challenging for everyone. I went through a hard phase where I was tired of constantly staring at a computer screen and felt distant from the real world. Being surrounded by people I care about and coming up with new learning ways helped me push through this hardship and continue my studies with stronger energy.

While studying at Metropolia, I developed my teamwork skills. I realized that remote learning does not affect a team’s results. We organize video meetings on our available platforms, which help us coordinate with classmates located in different countries. The key is always in communication and organization.
It is normal for us to go through a rollercoaster of emotions during these difficult times. However, it is important not to lose our momentum in the way. Remember:
1) Prioritize your mental and physical well being
2) Use Metropolia’s help and facilities to your advantage
3) Keep yourself and schedule organized to avoid overwhelming
